Regina Birdsell
“With Los Angeles’ Image Re- stored, Agency Disbands” (Nov. 28) was an excellent overview of an agency that has been controversial, but in the end has done a commendable job in helping restore our city’s image, far beyond our own borders.
While it is nice to give credit to the “business leaders” who have labored hard on behalf of this not-so-easy undertaking, it would have been nice to at least mention the executive director, Regina Birdsell, who since the very beginning has had to walk the very delicate line between all those leaders and all the political forces impacting on such a nonprofit organization in a city not known for its smooth management styles. And doing it well for five years.
