Santa Arrives Today to Lead Toy Drive
Santa Claus will be making a brief stop at the Metrolink station today to help the Oxnard Fire Department with the annual “Firefighters’ Spark of Love Holiday Toy Train Express” gift drive for needy children.
Santa will arrive with an elfin entourage on board a Metrolink train festooned with lights at 9:10 p.m. at the station, 201 E. 4th St.
In addition to spreading a fair amount of holiday cheer, the jolly one will entertain the public and help firefighters load toys collected through donations.
The train will begin its journey in Los Angeles and make stops along the way to collect toys.
The public is encouraged to participate and bring gifts to the Metrolink station for the collection.
