LAGUNA BEACH
Police officers in cruisers and on motorcycles will keep their headlights lit Friday to honor people killed or injured by impaired drivers. The program, part of a national law enforcement awareness initiative called “Lights On for Life,” also serves as a reminder that officers will be out in force through the holidays to combat drunk driving.
As part of the effort, Police Sgt. Diane Weaver said the department operates a “Tipsy Taxi” that provides city residents a free ride home. Information: (949) 497-0701.
