PUC Member Wins 90-Day Reappointment
P. Gregory Conlon, one of the architects of California’s electricity restructuring, announced at his going-away luncheon this week that he had been reappointed by Gov. Pete Wilson to an additional 90 days on the five-member California Public Utilities Commission. Conlon’s term was due to end Dec. 31. Another commissioner, Jessie Knight, will retire on that date. Conlon, a retired accountant, was appointed to the PUC in February 1993. He served as president of the commission from May 1996 until January 1998.
