Internet search engine Excite Inc. of Redwood City signed an agreement with Seattle Filmworks Inc. to give customers who develop film the option of having their pictures scanned and posted online at no additional cost. The announcement caused Seattle Filmworks shares to surge $1.94 to close at $4.94. Excite shares fell 44 cents to close at $50.06. Both trade on Nasdaq.
