Aeros Overpower Ice Dogs, 6-3

Mark Lamb and Mark Freer scored short-handed goals Friday night to lead the Houston Aeros to a 6-3 victory over the Ice Dogs in an International Hockey League game at Long Beach.
Houston’s victory ended the Ice Dogs’ six-game home winning streak.
With the loss, Long Beach (22-9-0) fell three points behind Houston (21-4-5), which has the league’s best record.
Rookie Sean Tallaire gave Long Beach a 1-0 lead with his fifth goal, but the Aeros scored four goals in the second period.
