Regarding “Focusing on Gifts for Photographers on the Go” (Gear & Gadgets, Dec. 6): The downside of using the lead-lined Sima Super FilmShield when traveling by air is that the bag containing film and/or camera shows up on the airport security guards’ monitor as a black blob, prompting them to open and search the bag for concealed weapons.

Solution: Place the FilmShield bag on top of the carry-on luggage to speed up the search procedure.
