Donald Audette wasted no time making an impact on the Kings.

Playing his first game with his new teammates, the right wing scored on his first shift and Glen Murray added two goals for a 4-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday night.

Audette, a 10-year NHL veteran, skated in his first game this season after holding out with the Buffalo Sabres. The Kings acquired him Friday from Buffalo for a second-round 1999 draft choice.

Luc Robitaille also scored for the Kings, who snapped an eight-game road losing streak and three-game slide overall.

Alex Zhamnov scored Chicago’s goal as the Blackhawks’ winless streak reached five games (0-4-1).

Meanwhile, the Kings extended their winning streak against Chicago to six games. They have not lost to the Blackhawks since Feb. 1, 1997.
