HUNTINGTON BEACH
Habitat for Humanity of Orange County on Sunday dedicated the first three homes it has built in the city. The dedication was held at the home-building site, 7862 Ronald Road, near Beach Boulevard and Talbert Avenue. The homes were built using volunteer labor and donated materials.
Families pay for the homes by making a 1% down payment, contributing 600 hours of “sweat equity” by helping build their home or that of another Habitat family, and paying the balance through a no-interest mortgage. Information: (714) 895-4331.
