USC’s Pintaric Is Player of Year

Senior Marko Pintaric, who this month led USC to its first NCAA water polo championship, was named player of the year Monday by the American Water Polo Coaches Assn.
Honored as coaches of the year were Trojan co-coaches John Williams and Jovan Vavic.
Seven USC players were named to the All-American team.
Ryan Bailey of UC Irvine and Jeremy Pope of Pepperdine were first-team All-Americans.
