CELEBRATING KWANZAA: The Namaste Interfaith Center will feature a Kwanzaa celebration with traditional African American music and food at 11 a.m. Sunday at 6020 Woodman Ave., Van Nuys. Information: (818) 980-1855.

RECOGNIZING KINDNESS: A program titled “Random Acts of Kindness” will be presented by the congregation of the Sepulveda Unitarian-Universalist Society at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at 9550 Haskell Ave., North Hills. SPECIAL DINNER, PROGRAM: A special early Kabbalat Shabbat service, followed by a Shabbat dinner and program will be held Friday at Temple Ramat Zion, 17655 Devonshire St., Northridge. Services begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a 7:15 p.m. dinner and program titled “Celebrating the New Year--Religious and Secular Style,” presented by Rabbi Steven Tucker.
