Agoura Hills Woman, 48, Dies in Head-On Crash
An Agoura Hills woman was the first highway fatality during the first 36 hours of the Christmas holiday, a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.
Diana Wisenor, 48, was killed in a head-on collision about 4 p.m. Thursday, said Lt. Cheryl MacWillie of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Wisenor was traveling in a Ford Escort eastbound on Lancaster Road (California 138), east of 233rd Street East, when a Mitsubishi Eclipse traveling westbound drifted into her lane and struck her, California Highway Patrol Officer Karen Faciane said.
An 18-year-old Lancaster man was driving the Mitsubishi, Faciane said. The driver, who was not identified, suffered moderate injuries, Faciane said.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, Faciane added.
