Development of Galleria

* Thank you for your informed editorial Dec. 13 on the development plans for the Sherman Oaks Galleria. Now that the developer has demonstrated a good-faith effort to ensure “neighborhood protection,” the neighborhoods surrounding the Galleria are looking to the Department of Transportation and to Councilman Mike Feuer, who strongly supported the mall’s development variance requests, to ensure the improvements are implemented.

While bureaucracy threatens to impede these improvements, Sherman Oaks residents are continuing our grass-roots effort to ensure they are realized. The Galleria, the councilman’s office, and the DOT can rest assured that we’ll be watching.
