Nine students at Capistrano Valley Christian Schools have qualified to be members of the California Scholarship Federation, or CSF, in the spring semester. The honor society students chosen are Sarah Andrews, Natalie Babbitt, Katie Cotter, Ashley Deans, Jana Huband, Neda Mehr, Jennifer Perry, Amy Searls and Nicole Shown.

The CSF has chapters in most public and private high schools. Students must have A’s or Bs in subjects recognized by the University of California. Membership is based on the semester marks of 10th- through 12th-graders; they must reapply to the society each semester.

The Capistrano Valley Christian Schools chapter of the CSF, which began in 1979, has more than 400 life members, according to school officials.
