SMALL FACES: Cypress Hill is a trio again, with Sen Dog rejoining B-Real and DJ Muggs on a new album that’s being finished in L.A., with a release date still to be set. Also contributing to the album are Wyclef Jean of the Fugees and B Smoove, a member of the Muggs-produced project Call O Da Wild. . . .

A two-CD collection of performances from last summer’s Lilith Fair tour is being put together for March or April release on Arista Records. Lilith creator Sarah McLachlan will be featured, with tracks from other participants--which included the Indigo Girls, Suzanne Vega, Tracy Chapman and Paula Cole--being selected. . . .

Anglo-Indian innovator Talvin Singh is recording a new album due in summer, with sessions having taken place in Bombay, India; Osaka, Japan; and New York. . . .

Rhino Records is assembling “Everybody Dance,” an album of ‘70s and ‘80s hits remixed with a ‘90s approach, including Aretha Franklin’s “Rock Steady Baby” remixed by the track’s original producer Arif Mardin and his son, Joe. Among the other songs are Chic’s “Good Times” remixed by Jazzy Jeff, and Yes’ “Owner of a Lonely Heart” redone by Todd Terry.
