CardioVascular Dynamics stock slumped nearly 27%, or $1.56 a share, to $4.25 Friday, a day after the medical-device maker reported a fourth-quarter loss that was double its year-earlier loss.

Volpe Brown Whelan lowered its rating on CardioVascular to neutral from buy.
