Wolves in Arizona

Share

Re “Rare Wolves Reintroduced in Arizona,” Jan. 27: Finally, a rancher who “gets it.” One thing that has always irritated me is that most ranchers think of themselves as the embodiment of the rugged individual, yet in truth they take in far more federal largess than any welfare queen I have ever heard of. They rape and denude public land, paying a mere pittance for the value received, and then demand to control the policy over that land.

Jim Winder sees the truth, that if put to a vote a great majority of Americans would put the wolf back into the national parks. How dare a willful group of welfare recipients tell the American people what we can do with our land? Mr. Winder, if you truly practice what you say, I might even start buying hamburger again.
