Volunteers Needed to Teach Reading
The South Coast Literacy Council is seeking volunteers to teach students of all ages to read and write.
The council, a nonprofit educational organization, needs several tutors to keep up with a growing demand for literacy classes at centers across the county.
Call Estelle Rosenthal at (714) 493-3800 for information on tutor training classes that began Saturday at the Dana Niguel Library, 33841 Niguel Road. No special training or language skills are required.
