Saban and SAG to Resume Negotiations

Share

Saban Entertainment and the Screen Actors Guild jointly announced that Saban will resume negotiations with SAG. The goal is to reach an agreement for all its programs to be covered by SAG union contracts; previous talks between the children’s television producer and the union broke down last summer. Last week, SAG released a strongly worded statement accusing Saban of the economic exploitation of children on its shows. SAG said talks with Saban began with “a personal apology from [SAG] President Richard Masur to Haim Saban, chairman and CEO of Saban Entertainment, for any unintentional comments regarding his personal character.” Saban’s programs include “The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.”
