School Board Names Director of Finances
An interim budget chief has been selected to oversee the finances of the Simi Valley school district, one week before the district’s head of business services leaves to take another job.
Simi Valley Unified School District trustees on Tuesday appointed Lowell Schultze, the former director of administrative services, to assume the duties of departing Assistant Supt. Dave Kanthak.
Kanthak and his wife will leave Feb. 13 for Riverside County where he begins a similar job with the Murietta Valley Unified School District.
Simi trustees also decided Tuesday to hire the executive search firm School Services of California Inc. at a cost of $9,500 to find a permanent replacement for Kanthak.
