Automatic Doors to Be Installed at City Hall

Share

The doors to City Hall soon will open with ease.

Three sets of wooden doors at the entrance to the City Council chambers will be replaced with doors that open automatically when people approach them. They will cost $17,000 and meet federal regulations requiring access for the disabled.

Members of the Fountain Valley advisory committee for the disabled recommended the doors, which are similar to those already in place at the City Hall lobby.

The City Council approved the doors and new safety standards for swimming pools at this week’s meeting.
