Panel Will Be Named for School Post Search
A panel of eight Costa Mesa and Newport Beach residents will be appointed to interview superintendent candidates for the Newport-Mesa Unified School District.
The 20-member committee, to be named at the Feb. 24 board meeting, will include two high school students, two teachers, two classified employees, two school district administrators and one member of the supervisory bargaining unit. The chambers of commerce in Corona del Mar, Costa Mesa and Newport Beach also will each appoint a representative.
Newport Beach and Costa Mesa residents can send a one-page letter indicating their interest in serving on the committee to Newport-Mesa board President James M. Ferryman, Newport-Mesa Unified School District, 2985-A Bear St., Costa Mesa 92626.
