Jeffery Richardson; Warehouse Supervisor

Jeffery “Lom” Richardson, a Westlake resident and former history teacher and coach, died Tuesday after quadruple bypass heart surgery. He was 44.

Born Jan. 8, 1954, in Hartford, Conn., Richardson had been a Ventura County resident for the last 23 years. His most recent job was as a warehouse supervisor for Registration Control Systems in Ventura.

Previously, he was a history teacher and football and swim coach at Bel Air Prep School and Chaminade High School in Los Angeles County. His participation in sports also included founding the Ventura County Officials Assn.

Richardson is survived by his mother, Veronica, of Westlake; a sister, Deborah Weckbacher of Simi Valley; one niece; and one nephew.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, 32032 W. Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village.

To benefit youth sports programs in Ventura County, memorial donations may be made to the Jeff Richardson Memorial Fund, c/o Great Western Bank, 1215 Clayford Ave., Westlake Village, 91361.

Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home of Ventura is in charge of arrangements.
