Money for Police Facilities
Re “LAPD to Shift Valley Offices to GM Location,” Jan. 24.
The mayor now wants to place a $350-million to $400-million bond issue on the ballot for new police facilities.
Unless the mayor and [Police Chief Bernard] Parks listen to the citizens of Los Angeles, their employers, they can count on my “no” vote. Parks is doing away with a fantastic cost-free plan . . . the partnership of senior lead officers and the communities they serve.
Don’t insult the people of this city by taking away a good thing and then asking us for more money.
