Immunizations for Children Offered

St. John’s Regional Medical Center is offering low-cost childhood immunizations during the next several months at various locations in Camarillo and Oxnard.

Vaccinations include tetanus, mumps, measles, rubella, diphtheria, pertussis, polio, hepatitis B and hemophilus influenza type B.

The cost is $5 per child, regardless of how many vaccinations the child receives. The family maximum is $15, no matter how many children in each immediate family receive shots.

Children from newborns through the age of 18 can receive vaccinations with a parent or legal guardian present. Bring immunization cards to record the new vaccinations and to inform medical staff of vaccinations already received.

The clinics will be held at the following locations:

* Camarillo Health Care District, 3639 E. Las Posas Road, Camarillo, on the second Tuesday of each month, 3 to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Dec. 8.

* St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2532 E. Ventura Blvd., Camarillo, on the third Tuesday of each month, 4 to 7 p.m., March 17 through Dec. 15.

* Santa Clara Church, 323 South E St., Camarillo, on the fourth Tuesday of each month, 4 to 7 p.m., Feb. 24 through Nov. 24.

* Mary Star of the Sea, 436 W. Pleasant Valley Road, Oxnard, on the first Wednesday of each month, March 4 through Dec. 2. Call for times.

* Our Lady of Guadalupe, 500 N. Juanita Ave., Oxnard, on the third Friday of each month, Feb. 20 through Nov. 20. Call for times.

* St. John’s Regional Medical Center, 1600 N. Rose, Oxnard, on the third Thursday of each month, Feb. 19 to Nov. 23. Call for times.

All are drop-in centers during the designated times, except for St. John’s, where an appointment is required.

The immunization program is funded by Catholic Healthcare West, Ventura County Public Health and Livingston Nurses Assn. Foundation.
