Matthews Group to Buy New York Lighting Firm
Matthews Studio Equipment Group said it will buy a New York theatrical lighting company in a $26.5-million cash deal.
Matthews plans to purchase Four Star Stage Lighting Inc. as part of its strategy to expand into the New York stage rental equipment market. Matthews said Four Star’s management will stay on at its New York headquarters.
Matthews, based in Burbank, is a renter and seller of various camera and lighting equipment to the film and television industries.
