Esperanza, Senior; Soccer

She helped Esperanza jump back into the playoff hunt with consecutive overtime victories against then third-ranked Edison and Huntington Beach. The Aztecs trailed Edison at halftime, 2-0, but Jarne scored one of three goals after halftime to help Esperanza win, 3-2. She also scored in a 2-0 overtime win over Huntington Beach.

* Los Alamitos, senior. She was named the tournament’s outstanding goalkeeper at the Irvine Southern California Championships.

Jenny Lamb/Water Polo

* Marina, senior. She earned all-tournament honors and helped Marina finish as runner-up at the Irvine Southern California Championships.

Natalie Nakase/Basketball

* Marina, senior. She averaged 10 assists in three league victories for Marina, including 59-51 victory over then second-ranked Esperanza.
