City’s Storm Preparations Are Saving It on Rainy Days
Efforts to clean out gutters and storm drains before winter storms were well worth the effort, city officials reported this week.
“What we did in August and September to prepare has really paid dividends,” City Councilwoman Alice Jempsa said.
Crews spent much of the summer and fall preparing for wet weather. Little Cottonwood Park, however, was covered with standing water Sunday, Jempsa said, adding that she wants to see better drainage there.
