Toilet Collection Planned Saturday
The collection of old toilets from participants in last month’s ultra-low-flush toilet distribution program in Camarillo has been rescheduled for Saturday.
The old toilets will be collected in the parking lot at City Hall from 8 a.m. to noon.
Pleasant Valley Lions Club members will be on hand to assist residents with the return of the commodes.
Severe flooding caused Camarillo officials to declare a state of local emergency last Friday, forcing postponement of the collection.
Residents who received ultra-low-flush toilets in January must turn in their old toilets this weekend or give back the new ones--otherwise, the city will add a $100 charge per toilet to their next water bill.
City officials say only more extreme weather would cause a second postponement.
