City Begins Program for Telephone Checks
A volunteer service to make checks by telephone on the well-being of seniors has been launched by the city’s Community Services Department.
Known as “We’re Looking Out for You,” the telephone reassurance program will link the city’s seniors with volunteers. Calls will be made either daily or weekly.
Seniors interested in the service will provide emergency contacts, existing health conditions and medications along with doctors’ names and telephone numbers.
To volunteer or to take advantage of the service, call the H. Louis Lake Senior Center at (714) 741-5253.
