Blame that little kid again for what is shaping up to be rebounding season for snowboarding resorts, board-makers and fashion labels. El Nin~o means snow is fresh and plentiful. And so are the looks.

As seen on the slopes at the Wrightwood ski area, choice is in. Snowboarders no longer all have to look like rap stars with goggles. Slope clothes--technologically better than ever with waterproof, breathable fabric--have become preppier, sportier, clubbier. Racing stripes are in, colors are muted and accessories range from psychedelic goggles to beach-inspired shades. To be a snowboarder is no longer to be a stereotype.
