You’d think the designed-to-within-an-inch-of-its-life Getty Center would be similarly compulsive about how it clothed its staff. But only the “visitors service assistants” who steer you from tram to gallery are subject to anything like a dress code: white tops and beige trousers or skirts (dubbed “Meier white,” after the center’s architect, Richard Meier, and “travertine,” after the profusion of stone Meier specified to build it). In fact, the Getty’s single official fashion statement is the royal blue vest worn by the VSAs. Wanna know more? Of course you do:

--Designed by the Lee Wayne marketing company of Los Angeles, exclusively for the Getty

--65% polyester, 35% cotton

--Dry clean only (museum cleans them weekly)

--Tailored fit (M, L, XL, XXL)

--Five royal blue snaps on placket

--Two outside and two inside snap pockets

--Exclusive pen pocket

--Always worn over clothes, even heavy jackets

--Not available in the museum gift shop. Yet.
