Medstone International Inc.: The Aliso Viejo provider of therapies for kidney and renal stones reported fourth-quarter profit of $931,098, or 17 cents a share, down 32% from $1.4 million, or 25 cents a share, for the comparable quarter a year ago. Revenue increased 6% to $5.5 million from $5.2 million. For the year, the company posted net income of $4 million, or 72 cents a share. A net loss of $238,471 was reported for 1996, which included a $5.5-million charge for a legal settlement and $769,000 of litigation costs. Revenue grew 21% to $21.7 million from $18 million.
