Testimony in Dally Case Is Suspended

Share

Testimony was suspended Wednesday in Michael Dally’s murder trial because of a sick juror and is not scheduled to resume until Friday morning.

Superior Court Judge Charles W. Campbell Jr. told lawyers he may replace the ill male juror with an alternate if the panelist is not well by Friday.

Six alternates were selected for Dally’s trial in addition to 12 regular jurors.

Dally, 37, is facing murder, kidnapping and conspiracy charges for allegedly planning with longtime girlfriend Diana Haun to kill his wife, Sherri. He could face a death sentence if convicted.

His trial began last week with opening statements but has been interrupted by holidays and now illness. The trial is expected to span at least six weeks.
