OK, KEANU, IT’S SAFE TO LET THEM OFF NOW

So, where did all those wrong-way, misinformed, obstinate bus drivers go after bottle-necking traffic at the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta?

Sounds like at least one ended up here.

Nagano ‘98, the daily Olympic newspaper, reports that a bus driver refused to let Andrezej Chylinski out of a media bus en route from Nagano to Hakuba.

Traffic reportedly became so heavy that it was faster for passengers to get out and walk, but the bus driver refused to open the door.

Chylinski crafted a sign out of note paper and pressed it to the window.

It read: “Help, we are kidnapped by driver!”

Eventually, Chylinski said he escaped the bus by climbing out the window.
