Puck’s luck, there’s another Zambonis record out.

A logical (well, to hockey fans) extension of their first record “100% Hockey and Other Stuff,” the new record has only seven songs.

A short shift to be sure, but good playing time nonetheless.

The disc starts off with “Avalanche,” a rollicking (reviewers need words like these) tribute to the success of the Colorado franchise. It ends with “The Hockey Song,” which is about as familiar sounding as you can get without sampling.

In between is the best part.

“Lost My Teeth,” would do justice to any Black Flag endeavor. The chorus is oddly uplifting, like when you’re comparing scars: “Lost my teeth when I blocked that shot!/Lost my teeth when I ate that puck!”

Safety’s first in “C.C.M. P.S.A. (The Helmet Song).” The Zambonis have one player in mind: “Hey Craig MacTavish, you’ve got a lot of hair on your head/But if you lose your balance, you just might end up dead.”

Pucker up to the “Great Zamboni of Devotion” and enjoy that Christmas feeling with “Hockey Holidays.”

Speaking of which, more new Zamboni songs can be found on the must-have CD “The Tarquin Records All Star Holiday Extravaganza!” which is a 35-song collection of alternative (the original meaning) holiday music.

Skate on, dudes.
