Michael Olowokandi, Pacific’s 7-foot center, comes in averaging 21.5 points, 10.7 assists and about eight NBA scouts per game. Even the Lakers’ Jerry West and Mitch Kupchak came out to see Olowokandi Thursday, when he had scored a career-high 32 points against Fullerton Thursday. Irvine shut down Andrew Betts, Long Beach’s 7-1 center, but repeating that feat against Olowokandi will be difficult.
