The Sands of Winter

Not the chill of winter nor the wrath of El Nin~o can keep sun-worshiping, beach-loving devotees at bay.

So they bundle up in heavy sweatshirts and toss scarves over their shoulders, as these Manhattan Beach bunnies show us in their surf-and-turf style.

They wrap themselves in wool sweaters and muffle their necks. They layer bike shorts over long johns. Or they just simply do what comes naturally, even in the dead of winter: Bare a midriff and in bare feet head toward the water, because, after all, life’s a beach.
