Accepting that infants rarely let their mothers out of their sight, Stevens has designed a low-impact post-pregnancy workout that lets Mom carry child in a front baby carrier.

And it’s great. The warm-up, 20-minute cardio work and lower body toning are all done standing up with baby in carrier. Stevens works those tense neck and shoulder muscles that many mothers experience. Then it’s to the floor for more exercises with baby asleep or just lying down on the mat while Mom works on her abs and posture. The cool-down is baby time, with stretching and playing with the baby.

Clearly designed with pre-crawlers in mind, “Workout for Two” is a lot of fun for those too busy, too tired or too timid to drag their post-pregnancy bodies back to the gym.
