Two Gardena men have been arrested in Santa Cruz in the theft of $7,000 worth of uniforms from the Ice Dogs hockey team, Long Beach police said Tuesday.

A duffel bag containing 29 uniforms was stolen from the team’s locker room at the Long Beach Arena while the arena was being used for a reggae concert, police spokeswoman Karen Kerr-Owens said. Detectives said 18 of the uniforms were spotted at a merchandise booth in Santa Cruz during another reggae concert on Feb. 22. The Santa Cruz Police Department held the suspects until Long Beach detectives arrived.

The 18 uniforms were recovered and Ghouchou Kaba, 26, and Lorenzo Tallah, 21, were booked on suspicion of commercial burglary and held on $15,000 bail. Detectives are looking for three other suspects.
