2 Suspects Arrested in Pair of Robberies
Two Santa Paula men were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of robbing a Texaco gas station and a Circle K store in the city.
A clerk at the gas station at Palm Avenue and Harvard Boulevard told police officers that two men entered the station, brandished a revolver and then took off with $140 shortly before midnight Tuesday.
About 30 minutes later, the officers saw two men matching the description of the Texaco robbers running from the Circle K store at Peck Road and Harvard Boulevard. Sgt. Jim Ward said the pair are suspected of robbing the convenience store of $90.
Anthony Hurtado, 18, and a 17-year-old male were arrested in connection with both robberies and are being held at Ventura County Jail.
Ward said the two do not appear to be linked to any other robberies.
