Group That Aids Families Unveils New Headquarters
A nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the healthy social and emotional development of children and other youths will unveil its new headquarters at 500 Shatto Place today s) with an open house.
“With this new central location, El Nido Family Centers can more effectively administer the counseling, case management and parent education programs that we provide throughout Los Angeles County,” said the centers’ executive director Emily Lloyd.
Founded in 1925, El Nido (Spanish for “the nest”) offers a broad spectrum of programs to help abused children and their families, teenage parents and their babies, youths in trouble with the law and families struggling to raise their children.
El Nido Family Centers, a United Way agency, has 11 sites in some of the most disadvantaged communities in Los Angeles County.
