Federal prosecutors charged two men Thursday with tax evasion, alleging that their company failed to report $197,419 in wages and to submit payroll taxes to the IRS.

Frank Blasetti, 51, of Cypress and Ralph Miller, 45, of Villa Park were charged in federal court in Santa Ana and have signed agreements stating they will plead guilty when arraigned March 16, Assistant U.S. Atty. Linda Oprian said.

Blasetti is president and Miller is vice president of Diamond Plastering Inc. in Orange. They are accused of evading payroll taxes by underreporting wages for the fourth quarter of 1995.

The Internal Revenue Service, which helped investigate the case, did not reveal the amount of taxes owed. Michael Kochmanski, chief of the IRS criminal investigation division in Laguna Niguel, said payroll taxes go into a trust fund to pay employee federal taxes, Social Security contributions and unemployment benefits.
