City to Take Complaints From Residents Over Internet
Want to complain about the city without picking up the phone or driving downtown?
The Los Angeles City Council made it easier Friday for residents to file complaints--via their home computers--beginning in July.
The council ordered all city departments with Web sites to develop a user-friendly forms for residents to make complaints or register other concerns or problems with city departments. The council also required those departments to develop a policy on how to handle the complaints and comments and to appoint a staff member to respond to the correspondence.
