What’s Going On in Westwood?

Those wacky coincidences just keep happening at UCLA. First Jelani McCoy is cleared to resume practicing right after the Bruins are blown out by a team with a big front line. Now he’s fully reinstated just in time for the crucial Pac-10 opener against Arizona. What are the chances?

In this age of state-of-the-art communication, we UCLA sports fans find ourselves in “state of the aren’t.” With one of the best basketball games of the year tonight at Arizona, not only can’t we see it, we can’t hear it, either.

What genius at UCLA signed a contract with a television station (FX) that is received by less that 19% of the homes in Southern California? Not to mention their new radio station, which has a signal of less than 60 miles. I live less than an hour from campus and recently installed a special antenna trying to improve my chances of receiving it. But as the man at the electronics store said, “If it ain’t there, you’re not going to get it.”

Here is hoping UCLA soon gets it, or the next thing you know, they won’t allow the print media to attend their games.
