Un-PC Training

Dump those dusty computer manuals. Push aside those stacks of instructional CD-ROMs. And get ready to meet Greta, the buxom and flirty host of a training video designed to teach computer novices how to use Microsoft’s Windows 95.

Developed by Thumbs Up Video Productions of Orange, the tape features the 22-year-old, single-named blond model dressed in a colorful--and tiny--bikini.

See Greta shimmy as she talks about opening up files. See Greta coo over the “cute” little computer icons. See Greta flip her hair as she makes the computer training “as pleasurable for you” as she can.

That’s about as risque as the unconventional 56-minute how-to tape gets.

“Obviously, this is not politically correct,” said Thumbs Up founder Bruce Gleason, whose company specializes in instructional videos. “I realized there are a lot of generic training videos out there for the computer. I just meant for this tape to be a little bit entertaining.”

A spokesman for Microsoft laughed when he heard about “Sexy Software Presents Windows 95” but declined to comment on the product.

The video is available through several mail-order catalogs and Thumbs Up’s offices in Orange, Gleason said.
