Authorities on Monday identified a woman killed in a traffic collision involving a sheriff’s patrol car.
Amalia Muro, 40, of Bell, suffered fatal injuries in the accident about 9 p.m. Saturday in the 16000 block of Temple Avenue, said Sheriff’s Deputy Isaac Gonzalez.
Gonzalez said two deputies from the Industry station were eastbound on Temple when a westbound car in which Muro was a passenger made a left turn in front of them.
Both deputies were injured, along with the other driver, a 24-year-old man whose name has not been released, Gonzalez said.
The accident remains under investigation.
