Although Pierson was slowed by an ankle injury, she still helped Edison win the Excalibur tournament and was selected the tournament’s offensive MVP. Pierson had three goals and two assists for Edison, which was ranked fourth in the county but defeated then top-ranked Capistrano Valley in the quarterfinals.
