No. 5 Marina 6, Fountain Valley 0--Candice Chick posted her second shutout for the Vikings (8-2, 1-0).

In the Pacific Coast League:

No. 8 Edison 12, Huntington Beach 2--Kami Fleming scored six goals and Amber Prestegard had four for Edison (10-3, 1-0), which led, 9-0, at halftime.

Aliso Niguel 10, Costa Mesa 7--Sabrina Eisner scored eight goals, all in the second half, for visiting Aliso Niguel (4-3, 1-0), which trailed, 4-2, at halftime. Jan Grubisich and Cari Howse each scored two goals for Costa Mesa (4-6, 0-1).

In the Sea View League:

No. 1 Irvine 8, El Toro 5--Erin Lezak scored four goals and Alexis Hanson had two for Irvine (10-1, 1-0), which pulled away in the second half by outscoring host El Toro, 5-3.

Corona del Mar 8, Santa Margarita 7 (OT)--Meagan Hardt scored her seventh goal of the game in overtime for Corona del Mar (4-6, 1-0). The Eagles (5-4, 0-1) had rallied from a two-goal deficit in the final three minutes of regulation to tie the score.

In nonleague water polo:

Mater Dei 10, Cypress 3--Mater Dei’s Erin Kelly scored four goals for the Monarchs (10-3), who put the game away in the third quarter with five goals.

In Garden Grove League boys’ soccer:

La Quinta 3, Bolsa Grande 1--Roger Aguillar, Robert Cortez and Edgar Akoyan scored for La Quinta (2-4, 1-0).

In nonleague games:

Aliso Niguel 2, Corona del Mar 1--Joese Pineda scored on a cross from Brian Bustilos and Mike Kendell scored the winner midway through the second half as Aliso Niguel (4-3-4) won its third consecutive game.

Brea Olinda 0, Bellflower St. John Bosco 0--Goalkeeper Mark Becher had six saves for host Brea Olinda (4-4-1).

Brethren Christian 2, Cerritos Whitney 1--Matt Beneda scored a first-half goal and Jon Blomberg added one in the second half for visiting Brethren Christian (1-6), which built a 2-0 lead.

Calvary Chapel 4, Duarte 1--Jimmy Cefalia, Josh Kisseberth and Josh Olinger scored in the first half to give Calvary Chapel (6-2-1) a 3-0 lead.

Kennedy 5, Magnolia 1--Pat Acton had a goal and two assists for Kennedy (7-4-1), which scored all five goals in the second half.

No. 6 Los Alamitos 4, Tustin 1--Trailing, 1-0, early in the second half, Los Alamitos rallied to score four straight goals, including two by forward Justin Waldrop. The Griffins are 10-2-1.

Santa Ana Valley 6, Lakewood Artesia 0--Jose Rizo opened the scoring for Santa Ana Valley with a goal 30 seconds into the match. Goalkeeper Enio Bravo recorded his third shutout of the season for the Falcons (8-2-1).

Valencia 1, Fullerton 1--After Valencia scored in the 56th minute to take a 1-0 lead, Joaquin Rincon tied it for Fullerton (1-6-4) with a goal off a corner kick in the 64th minute.

Western 5, Westminster 0--Alex Taylor scored one of his three goals and Jose Gonzalez and Luis Lopez had the other two as Western (4-4) built a 3-0 halftime lead.

In nonleague wrestling:

No. 1 Calvary Chapel 31, Temecula Valley 27--Calvary Chapel heavyweight Don Garcia defeated Brett Schleiger, 6-5, in sudden death to give the Eagles the victory.
