Veteran Administrator Named Interim Principal
The Redondo Beach Unified School District has hired a veteran high school administrator as interim principal of Redondo Union High School.
District officials have announced that Shelley Weston will take the helm of Redondo Beach’s only high school Feb. 2. and continue through the second semester of the 1997-98 school year.
Weston will replace Marcee Mioni, the district’s director of educational services, who was appointed the school’s interim principal since former Principal Bob Paulson was promoted to an administrative position last spring.
Last January, district officials announced that they had hired Kelly Johnson, principal of Palos Verdes Peninsula High School, to fill the post. Johnson had to turn down the job after Palos Verdes school officials refused to release him from his contract.
